Susan is not good-looking at all and she is actually a little bit fat. The moment she appeared on the stage in a plain dress in the limelight, viewers burst out laughing. It seemed that she would take part in the TV show just after her farm work. All the viewers present could hardly find any taste of art or music from the poor lady. She stood there exactly like an elderly countrywoman.

“How old are you, darling?” a judge asked.

“I'm 47 years old,” Susan answered.

“Oh, is it?” said the judge with a sneer.

“I'm still young, I think.” Susan rested one hand on her hip and twisted her thick waist to prove what she said. However, no matter what she said or did, she was jeered at by the audience instead of obtaining respect from them.

“I dreamed a dream in time gone by …” With the song going, Susan's wonderful voice surprised all, not only the audience present but people on the Internet as well. Nobody laughed at Susan any more; she became a star overnight and made her dream come true.

I don't know whether I will have the confidence or courage to show myself at the age of 47, but I will remember that every dog has his day.
