From the outside of the Museum of pop culture in Seattle has been likened to a smashed electric guitar, attributed to legendary rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix.

The nonprofit museum, founded in 2000 by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, is dedicated to all things pop culture, from fantasy and horror movies to comic books and video games.

该博物馆是一家非盈利博物馆，始建于2000年，创始人是微软合伙人保罗·艾伦。该博物馆展出的都是跟流行文化有关的东西，从奇幻恐怖电影到漫画书与电子游戏，不一而足。

The museum’s motto is to explore and support creative works that shape and inspire our lives.

Among those works, comic books, an exhibition called Marvel Universe of Superheroes is dedicated to the history of comic books, and a man who among others turned ideas and thoughts into sketches and fun cartoons on paper, Marvel Comics legend, Stan Lee, who died at the age of 95 on November 12th.

在其展出的作品和漫画中，有一个展叫漫威超级英雄宇宙，其内容关于漫画的历史，也关于一个男人，他跟很多人一起将想法付诸实践，画出了草图和有趣的卡通人物。他就是漫威传奇人物斯坦·李。他已于11月12日故去，享年95岁。

I think without question, though, for many people come to the exhibition, spider-man is tops.

Spider-man, Spider-man it’s kind of a special superhero, because Brock got to deal with this family and he’s much more relatable, especially for young readers who have their own problems living a teenager’s life.

蜘蛛侠是一个特别的超级英雄，因为布洛克同时也要应付家里的事。这样一来，布洛克就很贴近大众，尤其是年轻的读者，因为还是少年的他们，也有这样的烦恼。

He’s less serious. So, he he’s always making jokes and quips, and he’s teasing the villains even as he’s fighting them, so it’s very, it’s very accessible done.

他不是高高在上的。他经常会开玩笑，会讥讽坏人，会嘲弄恶霸，同时也与他们抗争。所以他的人设很贴近大众。

Based on the same principle, relatability and approachability, another comic book character Miss Marvel was created, though she didn’t meet the readers until 2016.

基于同样的原则、贴近性和草根性，另一位漫画人物漫威小姐也诞生了。不过这个人物直到2016年才面世。

So Miss Marvel is a 16 years’ old, Pakistani American, teenager, sort of like spider-man. She’s trying to balance her home life with her secret identity as a superhero.

漫威小姐的人设是16岁的少年，巴基斯坦裔美国人，跟蜘蛛侠相似，也要在家庭生活和超级英雄的隐秘身份中勉强取得平衡。

But the comic also draws in how she has to deal with, how she’s perceived as a Muslim American, and how she’s sort of fighting against certain stereotypes.

但漫画也展现了漫威小姐是如何应对这一切、他人是如何看待她这个美国穆斯林人、她是如何跟固有印象作斗争的。

Brooks expect admits that picking show pieces for the exhibition was no easy task.

专家布鲁克斯承认，遴选展品很有难度。

So although this is the largest exhibition we’ve ever done, it’s about 3,000 square meters. Still, marvel 80 years, there are literally thousands of superheroes in the Marvel Pantheon.

So it’s not like we could tell every one of those stories.

所以我们无法向每位参会者尽述这些故事。

We had to be a little selective, pick and choose, talk about some of the classics, also make room for some of the newcomers and some of the interesting stories that have happened in the 21st century.

我们要稍加遴选，展现经典之作，也为新创作的漫威人物和故事创造留一些空间，毕竟这些新秀都是21世纪出现的。

We know we can’t cover it all, but we want to give people a taste, get them get them into it and then send them out to explore more Marvel.

我们深知无法面面俱到，但我们还是希望大家能有愉快的体验，能有很强的融入感，也希望我们能助力大家对漫威有更多的探索发现。

And though these hand-drawn characters may be made up, their influence on everyday life and stories about real-life issues continue to attract fans around the world.
