Many people have dreamed of finding lost treasure and it almost came true recently with the invention of a new machine, 'The Revealer', which could be used to detect gold that has been buried in the ground.

It is said that the pirates used to hide gold in a cave near the seashore but then they would often fail to collect it. So a search party armed with the new machine went into the cave hoping to find buried treasure.

When the learder of the party was examining the soil near the entrance to the cave the machine showed that there was gold under the ground. They were very excited and immidiately dug a hole two feet deep. They finally found a small gold coin which was almost worthless. Then they searched the whole cave thoroughly, but unfortunately they did not find anything except an empty tin trunk.

Inspite of this, many people are confident that 'The Revealer' may reveal something of value very soon.

Once a year, a crawl race is held for baby who is less than one year. A lot of parents entered their babies for the race this year and there was a great deal of excitement just before it began. One of the most attractive players was a couple of twins in the same cloths. The youngest player was a pretty girl with a deep dimple in her left face. She was only six months. After a great many hubbub of voices the race began. Many of the players stopped crawling on the course and began to looked for their parents. Some of them cried loudly and their parents had to pick them up. A few babies, however, completed the race. The winner was a ten-month old boy, he covered the twenty metres distance in five minutes, much earlier than any of his rivals. He crawled back near the end of the race and his mother had a lot of trouble trying to make him crawl ahead. This race gave everyone a great deal of pleasure. It was very different from the track events ofadults but no less exciting.

When I walked along the street, I was deeply attracted by a dress in the window of an expensive shop. Though I hesitated for a moment, I finally went in and asked to see the dress that was in the window. I had just come off duty and was wearing a set of old overalls at that time. The assistant who served me did not like the way I was dressed, so after he had glanced at me scornfully he told me that the dress was sold. I went out of the shop angrily and decided to punish him next day. I returned to the shop the followingmorning, I was well-dressed, with a fashionable hat on my head and a beautiful handbag in my hand. After seeking out the rude assistant I asked for the same dress. The assistant did not recognize me and was eager to serve me this time. With great difficulty, he climbed into the window to get the dress. As soon as I saw it, I told him that I did not like it. I enjoyed myself making him bring almost everything in the window, before I finally bought the dress I had first asked for.
