A: How is your daughter these days?

B: Well, she’s been eating her heart out ever since her pet dog died.

A: Poor kid! You should do something to cheer her up.

B: I am trying my best to do so. But I guess it will take some time for her to heal. After all, the dog was like a family member to us.
