驾照

When I went to get my driver's license, the motor-vehicle bureau was very busy.

我去领驾照时，监理处刚好很忙；

I stood in line for over two hours before the man in front of me made it to the counter.

差不多排队等了两个多小时，才轮到排我前面那个人和柜台接洽。

The man looked at his photo for a moment and said to the clerk,"

那个人看了一会儿他的照片，对办事员说：

I was standing in line so long, I ended up looking pretty grouchy in this picture."

“我因为排队站太久，所以这张照片看起来表情很不高兴。”

The clerk looked at his picture closely, and smiled, "It's okay.

办事员仔细看了一下他的照片，微笑道：“没差啦，

That's how you're going to look when the cops pull you over anyway."

反正你被警察拦到路边时也会是那个表情。”
