9日12时04分左右，位于福建泉州晋江市的辉腾鞋业有限公司发生火灾，造成重大人员伤亡。总台记者从泉州市委宣传部了解到，目前火灾救援工作基本结束，截至目前事故共造成28人死亡。

Rescue operations have largely concluded following a devastating factory fire on Thursday in Jinjiang, a county-level city in Quanzhou, Fujian province, which left 28 people dead, China Central Television reported on Friday, citing the publicity department of Quanzhou.

火灾发生在一楼冲压车间，火势迅速蔓延到整个楼栋。消防人员赶到火灾现场时，整个建筑已经发生立体式火灾。

The blaze reportedly broke out in a first-floor stamping workshop around noon on Thursday and rapidly ripped through the entire building. According to CCTV, when firefighters arrived at the scene at 12:10 pm, the structure was already engulfed in flames.

火灾发生时现场第一时间疏散出213人，遇难人员大多数被困厂房楼顶部位。

发生火灾的建筑墙体瓷砖已经碎落，相关人员正在对楼体安全结构进行排查，防止次生灾害发生。目前事故原因正在调查中。

While 213 people were evacuated in the immediate aftermath of the fire, the majority of the deceased had been trapped on the roof of the facility, according to the report.

An investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is currently underway.
