In 2026, an additional 1,016 meters were added in high-risk areas near gates and villages. Rescue poles, life rings, and life jackets were also provided to patrol (巡逻) staff.

Vertical ropes create a V-shaped dip (凹陷处) where water pressure pins the victim down. Diagonal ropes, however, disperse (分散) the water’s force, allowing the victim to slide along the rope toward the bank. Ropes now also feature steel cores and corrosion-resistant (耐蚀)coatings, with floating balls threaded along them for extra buoyancy (浮力).
