Two giant pandas on loan from China have been attracting large crowds at Malaysia's national zoo.
The pandas arrived at their new home at Zoo Negara near the capital Kuala Lumpur last month. They are Chen Xing, a male, and Xiao Yue, a female, both five years old.
"How is the panda? Is it cute?"
"Yeah."
"Very good, it's very nice, I like it. I came here just to see the panda."
After undergoing quarantine, they made their public debut at a welcome ceremony that was attended by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim among others.
Malaysia will host the pandas for 10 years as part of a giant panda conservation program signed by the two countries last year.
"All the staff at Zoo Negara, they are working so hard and happy to look after the panda daily."
The two previous pandas at the zoo returned to China last May. The Malaysian government as well as the public were anxiously waiting for the new pair to arrive.
