据玉渊谭天消息，知情人士向其透露，3月11日，商务部等有关部门约谈沃尔玛。沃尔玛被约谈的原因，是其要求一些中国供应商大幅降价，企图将美对华加征关税的负担转嫁给中国供应商和中国消费者。

China's Ministry of Commerce and other relevant authorities held talks with Walmart Inc on Tuesday to discuss the US retailer's recent request for price reductions from Chinese suppliers.

@玉渊谭天 认为，这次约谈有以下几个值得关注的信息点：

1. 沃尔玛单方面要求中国企业降价，可能造成供应链断裂的风险，损害中美企业和美国消费者的利益。

2. 沃尔玛临时要求中国供应商降价，有违反商业合同的可能。这样会扰乱正常的市场交易秩序。

3. 美单边加征关税伤害中美企业，中美企业应该携手共同应对。

4. 如果沃尔玛执意如此，那等待沃尔玛的，就不只是约谈了。

The company's practice, according to Yuyuantantian, would shift the cost of new US tariffs imposed on Chinese goods to domestic suppliers and consumers.

"Walmart's unilateral demand on Chinese firms to cut prices could lead to disruptions of supply chains and hurt the interests of firms and consumers from both countries," the account said.

另据中国纺织品进出口商会（简称“商会”）消息，近期，商会陆续收到部分会员反映有美国大型零售商要求中国供应商降价的消息，商会正进一步核实了解有关情况。如情况属实，商会将采取积极措施维护会员企业的合法利益。

Walmart has recently asked some Chinese suppliers for price cuts of up to 10 percent per round of additional tariffs the US government imposes on Chinese goods.

In response to this move, the Beijing-based China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles said in a statement that it will take proactive measures to safeguard the interests of its member companies.
