阿根廷一家法院11日开庭审理足球传奇巨星迭戈·马拉多纳的死亡案件，其私人医护团队中的7名成员被控过失杀人。

Seven medical professionals who cared for Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona during his final days go on trial Tuesday accused of criminal negligence over his death.

2020年11月25日，马拉多纳在位于阿根廷布宜诺斯艾利斯省蒂格雷的住所突然离世，终年60岁。阿根廷警方和检察机构公布的尸检结果显示，马拉多纳死于心力衰竭，属于自然死亡，但他的亲属认为，马拉多纳的私人医生应承担责任。

Maradona died aged 60 on Nov 25, 2020, while recovering from brain surgery for a blood clot, after decades of battling cocaine and alcohol addictions.

Prosecutors allege that Maradona's death could have been avoided and accuse the hospital staff of medical negligence.

新华社记者当天在现场看到，大批马拉多纳的支持者聚集在法院外的街道上。检察官费拉里表示，在马拉多纳居家治疗期间，他的医疗团队是“临时拼凑的”，医疗人员没有采取必要措施来防止这场悲剧的发生。

据当地媒体报道，马拉多纳的私人医生卢克、科萨乔夫等7名医疗人员因在治疗过程中的不当行为被控过失杀人，或将被判处8至25年监禁。

The defendants, including Maradona's brain surgeon, psychiatrist and nurses, are charged with homicide and face up to 25 years in jail if convicted.
