前阵子，一位乒乓球爱好者携带乒乓球过安检时，却被告知不能带上车。为什么呢？



这里说的是“赛璐珞”（Celluloid）材质的乒乓球。这种材质燃点很低，根据《铁路旅客禁止、限制携带和托运物品目录》赛璐珞属于易燃固体，禁止随身携带进站乘车。



那如果就是需要带乒乓球回家过年呢？你可以选择绿色环保的醋酸纤维素新材料的乒乓球，这种材质熔点高达200摄氏度以上，可以通过铁路运输。

However, there is another type of table tennis ball made of environmentally friendly cellulose acetate, with a melting point of over 200 degrees Celsius, which can be transported by rail.

两种材质的分辨方式也很简单。球面上有标识“40+”的，一般为更安全的新材质；而无标识或标识为40的，则为禁止携带的赛璐珞材质。

Differentiating between the two materials is simple: balls marked with "40+" are made of the newer, safer material, while those without markings or marked as "40" are the prohibited celluloid material.
