bittersweet 确实有tasting both bitter and sweet “苦中带甜的”这个意思,
不过更多还是指containing a mixture of sadness and happiness,
苦中有乐的,苦乐参半的。

01. sour grapes
If you describe someone's behaviour or opinion as sour grapes,
you mean that that person is angry ,
because they have not got or achieved something that they wanted.

02. keep sb sweet
keep sb sweet 是英式英语,主要在英国使用,
意思是 to try to keep someone satisfied and pleased ,
with you so that you can continue to get what you want,

也就是“取悦,讨好(某人)。”

He made a few concessions to keep the shareholders sweet.

03. the bitter fruits of sth
the bitter fruits of sth 也就是“苦果”,
the unpleasant result of something,
恶果;不好的结局。

The unemployed are tasting the bitter,
fruits of the market economy.

04. take sth with a pinch of salt
在英国说 take sth with a pinch of salt,
在美国说 take sth with a grain of salt,
意思都是一样的,to not completely believe ,
something that you are told,
because you think it is unlikely to be true,
对…半信半疑,对…有所怀疑。

You have to take everything she says with a pinch of salt,
because she tends to exaggerate.
