创作缘由：

经典英文歌曲《卡萨布兰卡》（Casablanca）并不是电影《卡萨布兰卡》（又名《北非谍影》）里的插曲，而是上世纪70年代由 Bertie Higgins（贝特·希金斯）在看完这部电影后有感而写出的，用的是电影的名字。有人认为《Casablanca》是电影《广岛之恋》的插曲，其实不然——《广岛之恋》是五十年代的电影，而《Casablanca》80年代才正式发行。《广岛之恋》中倒是有个场景，即男女主角在一个名为“Casablanca”的酒吧内相见。

Bertie Higgins（贝特·希金斯）说：“这首歌是我为当时的女朋友、现在的妻子写的。我记得那是1982年，《北非谍影》是我们共同喜爱的电影，这部爱情片让我们如痴如醉。结合这部电影给我的感觉，我为女朋友写了《卡萨布兰卡》，她非常感动，还答应了我的求婚，成了我的妻子。”
