1.Photograph   photo  picture.  take a photo拍照片  take photos. 以O结尾的名词变复数时，有生命的加es,无生命的加s。

There is a  photograph of our village.  of...的，用于无生命的所有，如果是有生命的东西，我们就用's.  this is my brother's photo.

2.beside, next to, close to, near都有附近的意思，但beside是紧挨着，相对较近些。the boy is sitting beside his mother.

3. between A and B;  between two hills. 用于两者之间的比较。among用于三者以上的比较。

4.another  指不确定范围的另一个。如果确定了范围，则用one ... the other.

5. 如果说多人在一起时，顺序是：you she/he and I.注意人称的顺序。

6.across  穿过，是从表面穿过的。 如果说穿过树林或森林，则用through  . through the woods/ forest.

7.come out of someplace. 从。。地方走出来，是从作者的角度来看的。  go into中的into具有指向性，表示走进去的过程。  go to中的to,则是表示目的，方向。

8. 小心,当心： Be careful; watch out   take care  look out(这个是我所不太了解的）。

9.the teacher is listening to us to do exercises.  老师正在听我们做练习。

10. the river is cutting in the village.这条河穿过村子。

11.few a few  little a little。  few a few 用于修饰可数名词。 little a little用于修饰不可数名词。但是few and little 都有否定的意思，就是几乎没有， 而a few  and a little是有一点的意思。I have a little money with me.我身上带了一点儿钱。  little less least.  less than ; more than. Eat more and somke less.

12.one ones用来代可数名词的单复数。

13. do you want +具体的名词，或可数或不可数。 do you like +名词的种类。would you like+名词或代词语气更委婉。

14. for sb  , to sb.  for为某人做， 而to则是从sb的角度来讲，并不一定要为..所用。

15.advice建议，不可数名词。  a piece of advice. give advice to sb.

16. What a pity!感叹句。 感叹句的用法；由what 引导的感叹句的结构：what + a（an)  + adj+单数的可数名词+主语+谓语(  it is/ he is / she is）. what a clever boy he is.如果是复数，则what+ adj +可数名词的复数或不可数名词+主语+谓语（they are/it is...)。第二类是由how引导的感叹句.how 用来修饰形容词和副词或者是动词。结构是：How+adj/adv  +主语+谓语。How clever the boy is!  注意事项：当how修饰动词时，动词不跟着感叹词提到主语之前. how quickly the boy is writing !另外，口语中感叹句还有一些特殊的。如可以用否定句表示感叹的意思。Aren't you luck!也可有副词here,there ,in 等开头的感叹句。也有用who 开头的，表示惊奇。 who else will read such a book!也有用情态词may开头的等等。
