1 cup rolled oats
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup desiccated coconut
2 tablespoons golden syrup
125g butter
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda ( baking soda )
1 tablespoon hot water
Prehear the oven to 160C. Place the oats,flour,sugar and coconut in a bowl.
Place the golden syrup and butter in a saucepan over low heat and allow to melt.
Mix the baking soda with the mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well.
Place tablespoonfuls if the mixture on baking trays lined eith non-stick baking paper,
allowing room for the biscuits to spread, and flatten slightly.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden. Cool on wire racks.
